Provence Trip IV (19th April)

While we stayed in La Roque, Isabella (the hostess) always bought fresh local bread for us in the morning. She also made her own bread (far end one) and delicious cakes!

Aix-en-Provence is the city of art, and a city of fountains.

Sweet store. The fudge is fantastic.

Paul Cézanne was born in Aix-en-Provence.

Front yard of Cezanne's house.

There is also a small wood area in the yard.

Samantha found a Taiwan map on the street.

Sweet store, yummy yummy

Isabella told us the water fountain in Provence area is all drinkable!

Antique market

We then drove south to Cassia, a fishing port. There is sand beach, there is cliff, .... A very charming place that Karen said she is coming back to visit again.

Provence Trip III (18th April)

All the bikers we met on Provence country roads looked like they were training for Tour de France.

Les Salles sur Verdon: In 1973 the village was sacriticed for the production of electricity and disappeared under the waters at the darrl of St. Croix.

The water came from Alps. From here, we also spotted snow on the mountain.

An Alpine village, Moustiers-Ste-Marie is a lovely village, in a gorgeous setting.

The main theme of Moustiers is to sell the, admittedly beautiful, "faïence" ceramics (see also Faience Pottery), and the village is packed full of Faïenceries shops.
We did buy some Provence linen here.

Lunch beside waterfall, we ate with the sound of water!

The center piece of the village is the 12th-century Notre-Dame church, beautifully restored in 1928. It's topped by a four-level Lombard Romanesque (Italianate) bell tower, carved from golden-brown tuff.

Local beer/honey store

Glimpse of Lake Ste. Croix again.

the Verdon Gorge

Little Dipper, the most travlled dog, was thrilled by the beautiful sights.

Hanging on to a rocky peak rising out of stony ground and lavender bushes, the village of Rougon overlooks the entrance to the grand canyon of the Verdon gorges

A charming little cafe which decorates with various honey baskets offers delicious, hot crepes.

The best view from a "loo".

Prown dish! (two only)

Provence Trip II (17th April)

Today was a BEACH day!
The first beach we went is in Cannes.
None of us remembered to bring swimming gears.

Tropical palm trees

We dressed too heavy.

In Cannes, everything looks luxury.

What big smiles they wear when they were allowed to touch the water!

Steven got all wet!

B.B. King (born Riley B. King, September 16, 1925) is an African American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter known for his expressive singing and guitar playing.

MONTE CARLO ROLEX MASTERS SERIES TENNIS TOURNAMENT , April 2009
We think we spotted Andy Murray walked on Monoco street.
