Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen, Denmark (12, Aug., 2008)

This was the second day in Copenhagen.

In the morning, we walked all the way to Rosenborg Slot (a castle). It was raining. We passed through a beautiful park with almost no people around.

A very quiet park

Rosenborg Slot (castle) was the first European castle for us. (Actually, Dad visited Kalmar castle in Sweden many years ago.) The castle is also a museum. It is quite impressive.

Samantha was tired.

Steven was happy to come out to the park.

Just next to the castle is another beautiful park with tall trees lining up along a walk path.

It was raining and cool, in August! We walked through some pedestrian only streets (near Norreport station) and found a cafe to have coffee and hot chocolate.

Got cappuccino?

A couple of hours later, we walked back to the hotel to pick up our luggage. The rain was on-and-off. So we had to stop and go a few times.

In the late afternoon,we walked to the train station to take an overnight train to Malmo Sweden and then Oslo, Norway. Since Sweden and Norway use different currency, we spent most of our Danish Krone on candy!

Steven was talking to a dummy statue in a café in Copenhagen train station.
